Abstract :
The Google Earth satellite image software is adopted as the data source and analysis tool in this study. Some indices of river networks and channel profiles have been calculated in order to investigate their quantitive relationship. The results indicated that: For small basins local conditions may affect the topology structure of river networks, however, the topology structure of large river networks will tend to be the same regardless of any factors. The longitudinal profiles of incisive channels were formed under the influence of discharge and incision depth. The river section slope is larger when incision depth is also larger and when discharge is smaller.
