Abstract :
Gain enhancement of a 60 GHz Fabry-Pérot cavity antenna is obtained through excitation of the resonant cavity using a 4-element sparse-array. The antenna design is very simple and consists of a single-layer dielectric-based structure with thin layers of copper being printed on the top and bottom forming the ground/feed and the frequency-selective surface. Full-wave simulation results verify the desired performance of the antenna.
