Abstract
Within the tight-binding Su-Schrieffer-Heeger (SSH) model and a nonadiabatic dynamical evolution method, the collision of the electron and hole polarons in the nondegenerate and degenerate polymers is studied. It is found that the oppositely charged polarons do not combine to form a whole directly, but collide, separate and meet again to form a whole under an external electric field, this whole is polaron exciton in the nondegenerate polymers while solition pairs in the degenerate polymers.
