Abstract

Design courses in the bachelor and master program deliver all kinds of product information on three product levels. This information can be useful as an inspiration source for further design projects. With the help of Design Research project the possibility to develop a database system for students industrial design engineering can be researched. Education development is committing to support Design education with an engineering database. The designer gets inspired by visual information. He does not want to wait too long for it. A quick response time is necessary for being successful with the engineering database. The database is developed step by step, because of the limited course time.
