Abstract :
WMA (warm mixing asphalt) is a new energy-saving and environmental-friendly material with a broad prospect. Compared with HMA (hot mix asphalt), WMA reduces the mixing and compaction temperatures, energy consumption and emissions, while maintaining the quality of HMA. On one hand, researching new technology is urgent in the process of sustainable development in Chinese road industry. On the other hand, the developed technologies in other countries should be paid attention. This article expresses the characteristics and status of WMA and analyzing the problems using WMA technology in China. The goal of this article is to promote progress and achieving sustainable development in China.
