  • Abstract
Present weather is commonly defined as the phenomenon occurring in the atmosphere or close to the ground, which includes precipitation, obscurations, storms, thunder-lightning, deposited hydrometeors, and so on. Observations of present weather can not only accumulate valuable data for weather forecast, but also contribute to the climate analysis and military supporting. At present, present weather are mainly determined by manual observation of observers, the automatic level is rather low. For present weather involves too many observation items and meteorological elements, the capability of single sensor is limited, there´s still no instrument which can observe all kinds of present weather automatically so far. Therefore present weather are observed by multi-sensors becomes the main trend of further development. In this paper, physical characteristics of present weather are analyzed, and then an integrated method of present weather observed by multi-sensors is proposed, the feasibility of synthesis observation of present weather based on multi-sensors and multi-parameters is discussed. And in the end, the identification flowchart of present weather is presented. These works are of great significance to promote the automatic ground meteorological observation of all elements.
