Abstract
The exact radiation quality factor Q of infinite planar dipole arrays on a grounded magneto-dielectric substrate is presented. The radiated power and stored energies are evaluated in terms of Floquet modes and the spectrum of the arbitrary dipole current. The characteristics of Q with respect to geometrical and material parameters are shown. The Q of an array on a magnetic substrate can be lower than that of a similar array on a dielectric substrate.
