Abstract :
Experiments have been performed to investigate the differences between the turbulent flow of flat flame combustion and the cold air-flow under the same condition. The reactive fields and the cold flow fields were measured by PIV technique, and the velocity fields have been acquired successfully. The results show that compared to the cold flow, it is found that the width of the reverse flow zone is bigger, and the reverse flow velocity increases; the thickness of jet flow along the wall is thinner and the radial velocity increases continually. It is suggested that there are obvious difference between cold flow and actual combustion. The thrust force caused by combustion air volume expanding has great effect on turbulent flow, and it couldn´t be ignored.
