Abstract :
L-band broadband multiple beam klystron (MBK) with peak power of 180 kW and bandwidth 12% is developing in IECAS recent years. Comparing with single beam klystron and TWT, the MBK has the advantages of low beam voltage, wide bandwidth, high efficiency and high gain, small volume and lightweight. The main research progress and key technical problem on the L-band MBK will be described in this paper.
