Abstract
In addition to providing high gain and power, vacuum tubes can also be used as fast response phase-shifters, as well as fast response variable-gain amplifiers. Utilizing these characteristics, we can compensate for the phase fluctuations of power amplifiers. In this paper we will describe the application of this noise suppression technique to TWTs, though it can be used with other vacuum amplifiers.
