Abstract :
Tanzania has two seasons in a year (dry and rain seasons), the problem of road impassability in rural areas of Tanzania throughout a year was studied under site investigation (field testing) and laboratory tests. The study investigated mineralogical reactive of native rural roads soil with lime, materials properties and characteristics of lime stabilized layers under critical structural performances of strength, permanent deformation, resilient properties, durability, fracture and fatigue.
