  • Abstract
The authors developed a high-reliability platform, the HPT500, with a realtime OS complying with the IROS specifications. The IROS specifications were defined by NTT based on the CTRON interface specifications. The HPT500 is provided with a hardware function that detects board unplugging/plugging in automatically. This function can automatically change the system configuration just by plugging in or unplugging a board (online extension/reduction). In addition, since the HPT500 supports the SNMP, a workstation can be used as the remote maintenance terminal to monitor and control the system visually in realtime
