Abstract :
A novel probe-compensated microwave holographic imaging method is proposed, and the theoretical formulation is briefly described. Planar scanning using a moderate-gain probe antenna is employed to reconstruct unknown dielectric objects. Moderate-gain probe antennas are adopted since the fields scattered by unknown objects are so weak that they are highly susceptible to both numerical and experimental errors. To enhance the image quality, the proposed approach necessitates the radiation information of the probe antenna and its environment. Some simulation-based imaging results are presented to verify the efficacy of the proposed imaging approach.
