Abstract :
In vivo 31P MRS provides non-invasive information about the chemical content of the energy metabolism in cellular level, which is important either in diagnosis or in treatment of many hepatic diseases. In this paper we applied Fisher linear discriminant analysis and quadratic discriminant analysis to classify the data samples based on 31P MRS into three types of hepatocellular carcinoma, hepatic cirrhosis and normal hepatic tissue. Experiments show that quadratic classifier offers more reliable information for diagnostic prediction of liver cancer.
