            Abstract :
We find that bi-directional RF photonic links may be practically implemented with adequate system performance using available fiber optic transmitters and inexpensive, commercially available 1 × 2 fiber couplers. Such links would typically have lengths less than 1 km which is far less than the link demonstrated here
