  • Abstract
    A new strategy for broken rotor bars and load oscillation diagnosis on induction motors is presented. From the instantaneous active and reactive power theory, two current Park´s vectors are obtained, the active and reactive Park´s vectors. The analysis of the frequency spectrum of the modulus of these vectors allows both detecting broken bars and load oscillations, and the correct diagnosis of such problems. A method to avoid the measurement of supply voltage is also presented. The proposed strategy is validated by simulation and experimental results.
