Abstract :
We present a set of equations describing the terahertz generation in the zincblende crystals by optical rectification. These equations can be used for every possible polarization direction of the pump beam and for crystals that have arbitrary crystal-oriention. Our results are in excellent agreement with the previous work. Moreover, we have demonstrated the optimal crystal-oriention and polarization of the pump beam to achieve the max emission of terahertz wave.
