Abstract :
This paper is concerned with the problem of applying catastrophe theory in buildings fire risk assessment. Firstly, by using the Delphi method, the buildings fire risk evaluation indices system is developed. Secondly, by using the catastrophe theory, the buildings fire risk assessing model is introduced. Based on this fire risk assessing model, we can obtain the buildings´ fire rating, and by analysis the estimation results, we can develop a scheme to guide the decision-makers to improve the buildings´ fire rating. Finally, the numerical example is given to show the effectiveness of the proposed theorems.
