  • Abstract
    A new method for differentiating live larvae 3-4 of M. incognita from dead one by 2%Trypan blue staining for 30 min is established. A live larvae 3-4 can not be stained, while the 1/3 body of the dead one is stained as blue. It is 100% effective for staining dead larvae 3-4 of M. incognita killed by either 601 for 3mins , -30°C for 30min, or 10-3g/L Abamectin. Trypan blue is firstly applied as a staining agent in nematode viability identification.
