Abstract
At first, the relationship between system and semiconductor technology is discussed from the historical point of view. Then the positioning of the Emotion Engine and, the impact of the Emotion Engine to the both system and semiconductor industry is mentioned. Finally, by considering next generation leading edge LSI forecasts, the future process technology requirement for the expected performance range and the desirable semiconductor industry structure is mainly discussed.
