Abstract :
Presented is the Roaming Diagnostic Station (RDS). The RDS is a remotely controlled mobile cabinet system used to carry test equipment and computers to non-ambulatory patients. The structure of the RDS consists of a steel skeleton with an oak veneer finish. Driving the RDS are two gear motors operated in conjunction for drive and steering. Remote control of the RDS from twenty feet away is possible. An internal monitor lift is included to raise and lower a large computer monitor over a range of 20 cm
