            Abstract : 
Optically active microtubes are fabricated by high temperature annealing of Si/SiOx rolled-up membranes. Spontaneous emission from Si nanostructures dispersed in microtubes is investigated by photoluminescence spectroscopy. Waveguiding along the axis of Si/SiOx tubes is demonstrated.
