Abstract :
Conditional event algebras, and more generally, relational event algebras, have been developed to address the present gap existing between logic based combination techniques involving probabilities-at present, relatively limited in use-and the current more widely applicable standard numerical based combination techniques. The paper presents an overview of these newly emerging areas with some applications to expert systems
