A PMMA-GRIN-polymer optical fibre (POF) 2.5 Gbit/s transmission system with a record distance of 200 meters has been reached, doubling the distance previously reported. We believe that the record result reported here is an important milestone for the development of Gbit/s polymer fiber systems using visible light
