Abstract
This paper describes a technique for realizing an Iso-flux Pattern Antenna (IPA) suitable for operation in the Ka band, although the proposed design methodology is general and equally applicable to other frequencies as well. The IPA is designed to radiate at a specific elevation angle, while suppressing radiation along the zenith. The electrical performance of the designed antenna has been verified in terms of the magnitude and phase of the field distribution as well as the far-field pattern radiated by the aperture distribution.
