Theoretical base for on-line control of cable electric lines

The author presents a theoretical method for the online disconnection (nonoperation) of a cable electric line (CEL). The method consists in measuring/controlling the conduction current through the insulation system of a CEL. The fundamentals of this concept require certain conditions and can be applied only to CELs which are yet to be manufactured-i.e. new lines and those having an extruded protection sheath
