Abstract
This paper proposes a new isolation structure integrated in the dielectric holder of a test socket for reducing the crosstalk noise. The isolation structure consists of inserted vias and metallic planes, connecting the inserted vias with ground pogo pins. It can provide better than -20 dB crosstalk and reflection noises from DC to 10 GHz, with 10 dB improvement in crosstalk at 10 GHz.
