Abstract :
This paper present a jagged edged slot array antenna backed by SIW cavity for 2.4 GHz base station. Rectangular slot cut on the cavity back face adds jagged edge, which reduces the size, improves impedance matching and broadens the bandwidth. Low loss GCPW is used for realizing 3-dB Wilkinson power divider to excite elements in TE101 mode. The measurements show minimum 10-dB return loss bandwidth of 6.4% and 6.1 dBi peak gain, which are better than previous works. Proposed antenna has advantages such as easy fabrication and convenient integration with planar circuit, high gain, low profile, low loss, good radiation direction, which is fit for ISM 2.4 GHz base station application.
