Abstract
Delay Tolerant Mobile Sensor Network (DTMSN) is the network for pervasive information gathering. Traditional data information gathering approaches may not fit for DTMSN for its intermittent connectivity. This paper proposes an Activity Based Data gathering protocol (ABD). In DTMSN, activity of different sensors may vary since they are attached to different entities, the message replicated by the active sensors may exit more copies in the network and may reach the sink more easily and quickly, in view of that, the message transmission scheme and the redundant copies controlling technique are proposed. Simulation results show that ABD reaches a well tradeoff between the data delivery ratio/delay and the delivery overhead.
