Plant growth retardants and its Application on ornamental plants: A review

Plant growth retardants, one of the most effective method of controlling excessive vegetative growth and promoting the quality of seedlings, have been used on the production of flowers. This paper comprehensively summarized the research progress of application of plant growth retardants on plants, including their variety, effects on plant growth, Influential factor, and so on. The significance of their application on ornamental plants was discussed, and the problems which must be solved quickly were come up with.
