Abstract :
The paper studies how to recover a nonlinear continuous-time dynamics from the asymptotic expansion in powers of delta, the sampling period, of a given map. Two strategies are discussed yielding either directly to a time-varying differential equation or to a stationary delta dependent differential equation which results to be the average dynamics of another time-varying one
