Abstract
All-optical magnetic recording using near-field light has attracted attention for ultra-high speed and high-density recording. In this recording system, plasmonic antennas are important to localize circularly polarized light. However, it is still difficult to fabricate the antennas precisely in nanoscale. In this paper, we evaluate realistic plasmonic antennas based on electron micrograph pictures and discuss their characteristics of the intensity and the degree of circular polarization in near field to perform all-optical magnetic recording.
