Abstract :
Aggregation will be one of the main features of the Smart Grid. A parallel ICT structure will have to be used in order to aggregate and handle a portfolio of DG, storage units, Electric Vehicles and even customers. In order to manage and control these procedures optimally, tools have to be developed. This paper proposes the use Artificial Intelligence to automate these procedures, describing some metaheuristic techniques that can be used and identifying the applications they applied to within a Smart Grid environment.
