Abstract
The voltage dependent capacitance variation of a high voltage compressed gas standard capacitor is investigated by the 3D finite element method (FEM) in this paper. By analyzing a certain 200 kV commercial compressed gas standard capacitor, the relationship between the capacitance variation along with the displacement of the low voltage electrode which was applied on the maximum rated voltage is obtained.
