Abstract :
The parametric rate-distortion function of Gaussian source is derived for Wyner-Ziv problem. Using Toeplitz distribution theorem, the parametric rate-distortion function is given for the general stationary Gaussian source. From the general rate-distortion function, we can derive the special cases of first-order and second-order Gauss-Markov sources with closed form expressions, when the distortion is small. We use our results to gauge the performance of some Wyner-Ziv coding schemes which are used in distributed video coding.
