Title :
A re configurable HPC platform to support the solution of large electromagnetic problems

Abstract :
The availability of numerous High Performance Computing (HPC) platforms provide the necessary computational power to pioneer research into otherwise unsolvable, in terms of execution time required, electromagnetic problems such as the focusing of the pulse modulated radiation of a concentric waveguide array in biological tissues and the analyse of electrically large planar scattering structures. Using HPC and parallel programming techniques have reduced the computational times of solving large electromagnetic problems from the order of months to days, even hours, The solution of such problems has direct implications in clinical environments such treatment planning of tumours using hypothermia techniques.
