Abstract :
This paper evaluates the performance in knowledge-based companies by using back propagation (BP) neural networks. Based on the theory and methods on performance, this paper presents the variables to evaluate performance in knowledge-based companies. With the application of BP neural networks, this paper constructs a model and describes the steps to use BP neural networks in performance assessment. By using Matlab 6.0, this paper conducts the empirical study to evaluate performance in 30 knowledge-based companies. The results show that BP neural network is important to evaluate the current performance and forecast the future performance. The purpose of this study is to find effective methods to evaluate performance in knowledge-based companies.
