Abstract :
The small-capacitance superconducting two-junction system shunted as a whole by a small-size resistor (R/sub S//spl Lt/R/sub Q//spl equiv/h/4e/sup 2//spl equiv/6.47 k/spl Omega/) has been analyzed. The sensitivity of the device to variations of the polarization charge Q/sub 0/ on the common electrode (island) is calculated.
