Abstract
In this paper, we degradated Methylene Blue, Naphthol Green B, Acidic Chrome Blue K, Fuchsin Acid and Malachite Green with their aqueous solution by AgCl as the photocatalyst. The result show that, five organic dyes were decolorized completely in 30 minutes with the UV light was filtered The color of decolorized solutions didn´t change after placing 24h. Compared the degradation results with TiO2 as the photocatalyst, we found that ordinary AgCl and photosensitized AgCl have better effects in the light utilization.
