Message from the general co-chairs

On behalf of the Organizing Committee of the 6^th IEEE/IFIP Latin American Network Operations and Management Symposium (LANOMS 2009), it is our pleasure to welcome all of you to this premier conference in the field of network and services management. We are especially proud and excited about it because this is the 10^th anniversary of this well known conference, which for the first time is held outside Brazil, willing to amplify its incidence in the Latin-American and international research communities. LANOMS 2009 is held on 19–21 October 2009 in the exciting and lively city of Punta del Este - Uruguay.
