  • Abstract
Summary form only given. This presentation focuses on some of the unique aspects of Premier´s research and clinical trials with erbium:YAG lasers including: ophthalmology-anterior capsulotomy, phacoemulsification, sclerostomy and refractive; dentistry-prevention of cavities, periodontal surgery and hard tissue; orthopedics-bone recontouring; neurosurgery and other specialities; fiberoptic delivery systems, angled probes and specialized tips which allow the laser to interact with tissue by multiple mechanisms (e.g. acoustic, thermal, optical, plasma) are presented with scientific studies demonstrating these various effects
