Abstract :
Summary form only. The biennial conference series "Networked Systems" and its predecessor, the conference series "Kommunikation in Verteilten Systemen (KiVS), started almost 35 years ago in 1979 in Berlin. With 17 conferences all over Germany, it evolved over time into the major scientific event in the field of communications and distributed systems in German-speaking countries. The NetSys is also the main conference of the KuVS special interest group. The KuVS special interest group (Fachausschuss/Fachgruppe "Kommunikation und Verteilte Systeme" (KuVS)) is a common platform for researchers, developers and users of science and technologies related to communication and distributed systems in modern infrastructures. The interest group is anchored both in the German Computer Science society (Gesellschaft f??r Informatik (GI)) and in the Information Technology society (Informationstechnische Gesellschaft im VDE (ITG)). The special interest group has more than 1000 members from academia, research, industry and application fields. NetSys provides a forum for engineers and scientists in academia, industry and government to discuss innovations in the realm of networked systems, including aspects of networking, distributed systems, communications, middleware and applications. Besides technical sessions with original research contributions NetSys 2015 gives room for demonstrations of communication software, several tutorials as well as two adjunct workshops. In addition, NetSys 2015 welcomes Poland as guest of honor. Leading scientist will give an overview on network research activities in Polish institutions and present current research projects. NetSys 2015 is organized by the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) and the IHP GmbH - Innovations for High Performance Microelectronics - Frankfurt (Oder) with additional help from the Freunde der Informatik der BTU e.V. It will take place at the central campus of the BTU in Cottbus from March 09-12, 201- .
