  • Abstract
    The authors show three examples of biomedical applications essentially based on random processes, (1) the evaluation of saccadic eye movement disorders under randomized visual stimuli, (2) the detection and analysis of turbulent sounds produced by turbulent blood flow due to intracranial aneurysm and arteriovenous malformation, and (3) the use of 1/f fluctuations to control transcutaneous electrical stimulation for pain relief. With respect to these examples, the role of randomness and the appropriate circuit systems are discussed.<>
