Abstract
A new slope protection technology - geocell Bioengineering protection technology was brought forward. In this paper, combining with the engineering practices, the design and compute methods of geocell flexible retaining wall were given and the effect of its application was studied. According to the in-situ measured data of the earth pressure and the deformation of retaining wall, the part of the earth pressure can be released because of the compression deformation and horizontal deformation of retaining wall. The results show that the maximum pressure is located at the one third height from the bottom of the retaining wall. Compared with the result through the Rankine Theory, the actual pressure is less than Rankine active earth pressure. It can be concluded that the new type flexible retaining wall has satisfied the requirement of stability and ecological environment of highway.
