  • Abstract
    The results of experimental study of the DC electric field influence on SAW propagation parameters in PZT and lead titanate piezoceramics are presented. The relative changes in the SAW delay time and attenuation as a function of the magnitude and direction of the applied dc electric field was obtained. Qualitative models for domain orientation and space charge relaxation processes occurring in piezoceramics with different ferroelectric "hardness" under the dc electric field were proposed and physical mechanisms controlling SAW parameters changes were discussed.
