Abstract :
Basing on the theory of generalized δ-like functions, a theory of the symmetric dipole formed of thin rectangular metallic plates has been developed. An integral equation for the surface current density was derived and its rigorous solution at h//λ≫1 (h - the dipole length, λ - the wavelength) was constructed. The analytical expression for the dipole directivity characteristic and input resistance was also defined.
