  • Abstract
    Measuring instruments vary from one another in classification, name and attributes; therefore it is crucial to precisely manage the measuring instruments information and store them properly. For this reason, a distributed measuring instrument information management system is designed and implemented. The system uses the three-layer C/S structure and is built upon the .NET platform. The background database is Oracle 10g. This system combines the Remoting technology and Web Service technology to coordinate heterogeneous computing hardware: PC and mobile termination, and the bar-code print technology is used to implement identifying each measuring instrument. Through the system, the measuring instruments information is updated and managed real-time and dynamically.
