Abstract :
State feedback predictive control is discussed for a class of nonlinear system. Firstly, a linearization method is developed. When the method is applied to the nonlinear system in the current operating point (it may be non-equilibrium), we can obtain the linear continuous subsystem of the nonlinear system. Secondly, we can obtain the self-tuning linear discrete subsystem after the discretization for the linear continuous subsystem. Lastly, State Feedback Predictive Control is applied to the self-tuning discrete subsystem and the control law which is calculated controls the nonlinear system. The inverted pendulum system is also simulated with different initial states, set-point values and predictive horizons. The simulation results show the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method.
