Abstract
A mathematical model for the attitude dynamics of a spacecraft with flexible appendages is derived and the problem of inertial pointing for a flexible spacecraft equipped with magnetic actuators is addressed. An almost global solution to the problem is obtained by means of static rigid body attitude and rate feedback. Simulation results demonstrate the practical applicability of the proposed approach
