Abstract :
In this paper, the unsteady temperature field of engine eddy current retarder by finite element method is analyzed. Temperature changes and distribution of rotor are analyzed when the vehicle slowly braking as dragging down by the engine and engine eddy current retarder combine effect. And the thermal deformation of the rotor disk is analyzed. Results of the analysis provide a basis for thermal designing of engine eddy current retarder.
